The NHSHP paramedic CME program is designed to offer the
efficiency yet flexibility for paramedics in obtaining the required 72 hours of
continuing education every 2 years as required by both the NHSHP (for those
paramedics with current medical authorization by NHSHP) as well as by the
National Registry of EMTs (NREMT). The program is broken down into two 3 day
programs (one each year) to complete the 48 hours of both mandatory and
flexible core content. This in combination with re-certifications in CPR(5
hours), ACLS(8 Hours), PALS(8 hours), and PEPP (8 hours) will total 77 hours
per 2 year cycle. The 3 days of the refresher are categorically broken down as

It is therefore necessary to attend two Day 1s, two Day 2s, and two Day 3s per two years in order to meet all the categorical content requirements although it does not matter which day 1, 2 or 3 is attended during the year. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
