| The EMT refresher program
is a State of Connecticut Office of Emergency Medical Services approved
course which meets the refresher retraining requirement set forth in the
State of Connecticut Office of Emergency Medical Services Regulation
19a-179-16a(b)(2)(A). The course is typically spread out over three days
and includes training in CPR, safety and well being, infection control,
medical/legal issues, patient assessment, documentation, medical
emergencies, trauma, infants and children, obstetrics and gynecology, as
well as other elective topics as dictated by local and regional needs. The
refresher program also includes practical skills validation testing as
well as final written examination testing as distributed through the South
Central Connecticut Regional EMS Council which completes all the
requirements for EMT-B recertification by the Sate of Connecticut. |
