| We are please to announce that the State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health, Division of Community Based Regulation has approved the new American Heart Association Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid course as meeting the content requirements of Sec. 19a-87b-6(c)(1) and 19a-79-4a(e) of the Child Day Care Regulations for First Aid training for staff of licensed child care facilities. | ||

The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid Course teaches how to manage illness and injuries
in a child in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Topics include
First Aid Basics, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, Environmental Emergencies,
Optional First Aid Topics, and CPR with AED.
